Conseil Santé's experts
Conseil Santé employs several hundred senior and junior experts of various nationalities, the vast majority of whom are technical specialists (doctors of all specialisations, pharmacists, health economists, biomedical engineers, nurses, architects, teaching specialists, project administrators, information system specialists, etc.)
Many of these experts are from the countries where Conseil Santé implements its assignments. They are often irreplaceable sources of knowledge of the contexts in which Conseil Santé's teams operate, but they can also be called on to intervene in countries other than their own when they have the appropriate experience.
Conseil Santé's head office staff
Conseil Santé employs some fifteen staff at head office, all of whom have proven expertise in international project management.
More than half are technical specialists (doctors, pharmacists, health economists, engineers, human resource specialists, organisers, etc.) who manage project implementation and provide expert services. The others are contract managers or supervisory and support staff (IT specialists, logisticians). All have undergone specialised training in development aid, or have worked for several years in transition or developing countries. They all have a keen and personal interest in development aid, and follow its evolutions closely.
All of Conseil Santé's head office staff speak, read and write fluently in French and English, but many other languages are also used, notably, German, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Ukranian and Serbo-Croat.
Conseil Santé's organisation
To fulfil each assignment, Conseil Santé creates an ad hoc team placed under the responsibility of a Project Director, assisted by a Deputy Project Director, who is responsible to the Client for the management and correct implementation of the contract. This team includes:
- High level experts and specialists provided by Conseil Santé and, if need be, its specialised technical partners, under the operational responsibility of a Team Leader who is the daily contact person for the Client;
- National managers appointed by the Client;
- Logistical and financial support from head office, which is ensured by an appointed Contract Manager.
In practise, Conseil Santé uses the support departments of its parent company, SOFRECO, which provide it assistance in the following fields:
Administration and finance;
- Quality control;
- Procurement and logistics;
- IT;
- Internal and external human resource management.
Finally, Conseil Santé has a team entirely devoted to the management of European Commission framework contracts. The very existence of this team is a guarantee of the responsiveness and quality vital for the success of the assignments it undertakes.
