The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD or WB) are co-financing a Social Health Insurance (SHI) project, aimed at improving the accessibility, quality, and efficiency of health service delivery, and at reducing the population’s financial insecurity.
The objective of this assignment is to improve the State’s regulation and management of investment planning in the health sector. The aim is to bring its standards closer to international standards, in particular to those of the OECD, taking into account the planning of the needs of hospitals in the regions and the finalisation of the United Perspective Plan (UPP, a hospital planning document).

Identification and formulation of a programme to support social inclusion and the fight against poverty (2019)
Phase 1 – Identification: review of the current situation in terms of progress in the implementation of the different strategies and action plans related to the fields concerned (social protection, the fight against exclusion, access to health, grant programme for basic commodities, social security fund reforms, health insurance fund reform, etc.), review of the actors (Tunisian stakeholders and technical and financial partners) and of past or ongoing interventions. Proposal of intervention assumptions to support the Tunisian government in its reforms of the poverty reduction and social transfer system. Drafting of the action document.
Phase 2 - Detailed formulation of the support programme, demonstrating its relevance and coherence with the objectives and policy instruments of the EU and of the country, its feasibility, complementarity with the actions of the other funding agencies, and with already ongoing or planned EU projects. Drafting of all documents needed to implement the action.

Health services analysis for the relocation of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (2013-2014)
The Ministry of Health and the Environment of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) is conducting a review of its health care facilities and of their location, and of health service needs throughout the islands, in order to determine the site and characteristics of a new hospital to be built in replacement of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. The overall objective of the project is to ensure a service coverage adapted to the needs identified. This study will support the development of specific functional criteria for the new hospital, particularly with respect to improvements to the national emergency medical services (EMS) system.

Evaluation of the EU's support to refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia. This evaluation should provide findings and recommendations to assist the Enlargement Directorate General of the European Commission (DG ELARG) in the programming and implementation of future EU assistance to these countries in their support to refugees and IDPs, with a view to improving the instruments available to best respond to policy objectives, and financial assistance performance.

Joint evaluation of the impacts of assistance to social sector reforms (2010)
The main purpose of the evaluation was to generate knowledge from the results of Sida support to social sector reforms through twelve projects and programmes in the Republic of Moldova, in order to provide lessons learnt for the Moldovan ministries and authorities concerned in the planning for the future direction for the sector, and for donors and implementing agencies involved as to how to best assist the reforms. Since the Swedish support to social sector reforms was being phased out in Moldova, the evaluation provided important lessons for Sweden as to how to phase out development cooperation assistance in a responsible way, ensuring the sustainability of results.
